Dr. Charles L. Levy M.D., MBA, FACS, FAANS
Personal Biography
Dr. Levy has been a practicing neurological surgeon since completing residency at the University of Louisville in 2004. Prior to becoming a physician, he was an Intelligence Officer and Foreign Area Specialist, Latin America in the United States Marine Corps. He left the Corps as a Major with five personal decorations.
After the Marines, he attended Hahnemann University School of Medicine (now part of the Drexel system) and graduated as part of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society. He then went to the University of Louisville for a neurosurgery residency.
His first position after residency was in the United States Navy at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center where he achieved the rank of Commander and was awarded another two personal decorations before retiring from the naval service.
After leaving the navy, Dr. Levy practiced neurosurgery at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, PARS Neuroscience Group, and the Memorial Healthcare System in Marietta, Ohio, where he served as Chief of Surgery and Director of Neuroscience. During the latter period, he obtained an MBA from The Ohio State University. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Currently, Dr. Levy provides neurosurgery locum tenens coverage and has founded Affordable Healthcare Solutions, LLC in an effort to provide assistance to healthcare systems from individual medical practices to large healthcare delivery systems and everything in between. The goal of this consulting firm is to achieve greater functionality and fiscal efficiency for these systems. Affordable Healthcare Solutions, LLC also has the goal of becoming the front-running consulting agency for healthcare system cybersecurity, AI, block-chain implementation, and IOT.
Dr. Levy brings extensive professional and leadership experience to this endeavor that has only one goal—improve healthcare systems and deliver care at every level.
Dr. Levy has a BA in Political Economy from Johns Hopkins University, an M.D. from Hahnemann University SOM (now Drexel), and an MBA from The Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University.
